I’ve been called all of these things. Does that mean its a bad thing? I use to think so. One day it finally sunk in that God designed me to be me. If I am these things – then I am this for a reason. God has a purpose for it.

What’s your biggest fault? What’s the thing that you feel is your biggest determent? Don’t get discouraged. God knit you together in your mama’s womb – He designed you with a purpose. Sure, sometimes we don’t understand, or we pick the wrong fights, or sometimes we get stubborn about things that aren’t all that important.

Then, there is the flip side. The times when you were in a sinking boat literally, emotionally, financially or even figuratively. When there were two options – sink or swim. You may have gotten exhausted swimming but since giving up wasn’t an option you steadfast and stubbornly refused to stop swimming – no matter how much it hurt.

I use to be embarrassed when people called me strong willed; but I know now God made me that way for a reason. Yup sometimes, I refuse to give up the people I have connection and relationships with (long after the relationship has reached its expiration date), maybe I extend too much grace (is there such a thing) because I stubbornly refuse to give up on people; and sometimes the difference between crawling in bed and never coming out to deal with tomorrow is that I’m simply too stubborn to give in.

Whatever it is that you hate most about yourself, whatever label that you have been given by others who are intimidated by you – so they choose to belittle you into becoming like them…forgive. Embrace it. Learn the best way to harness it and utilize it – but most of all understand God has a reason. If you don’t know what that reason is today – you will someday – until then flip it – it doesn’t have to be a negative…it can be your biggest positive (blessing).
